From Improving the Customer Experience to Increasing Sales in the Beauty Industry

Kirsten explains what this means for Pink Gellac: “We need to provide a tailored customer experience that makes it worthwhile for our customers to visit our stores in person. Our brand focuses on the idea that nail care is a form of self-expression. Everyone is unique and has their own preferences, so our customers need to feel seen, heard, and understood, leaving the store happy, confident, and proud of their purchase.”

In the beauty industry, offering personal advice and inspiration is key to meeting the needs of beauty lovers. “Visiting our store should feel like a personal appointment and an experience. Our customers can see all the colours and try out all our products. We want to let each of them shine while staying true to themselves. Our beauty advisors engage with every type of customer, listening to their needs and providing the right advice and service.”

Product Knowledge Is More Important Than Ever

Providing the right advice and showcasing the perfect nail care products sounds easier than it is. Kirsten clarifies, “Nowadays, customers are very well-informed thanks to the information available online, including the wealth of information on our own website.”

“It’s therefore essential that our beauty advisors possess all the necessary knowledge to assist customers in the best possible way, giving them great advice and personalised service. The MobieTrain platform enables us to train our employees on how to deal with each type of customer and how to sell our products while keeping everyone updated on all (new) products.”

There’s also the social media aspect. “We have a huge fan base of over 250,000 customers who follow us on different social media channels. As a brand, we strive for consistency, so we need to ensure that the brand image we express and the story we tell online is lived by every single one of our employees. They need to be the brand ambassadors who put everything we show online into practice.
